Employee Spotlight: Diana R. Ortega

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, Diana R. Ortega and her team keep the Lodge clean and enjoyable for our guests. Since starting nearly four years ago, her sweet smile and willingness to go the extra mile have made her a special member of the Flat Creek Family. She doesn't have a favorite spot at the Lodge but is inspired by the beauty of the entire property. In the Dining Room, the fresh caught fried catfish with all the trimmings is her go to dish.
When she's not at the Lodge, Diana enjoys shopping, exercising, dancing and fishing. She also enjoys visiting with her two daughters and grandson who live in Miami. And, of course, spending time with her husband Omar, who is the Landscaping Supervisor at the Lodge. We're thankful to have Diana as a part of our team!

Employee Spotlight: Curry Nicolini

Though Curry Nicolini has only been with Flat Creek Lodge since November, she shares a long history with us. Curry's been visiting the Lodge for many years for special occasions, and she cites the Redbreast Cottage as her favorite spot, since her mom did the artwork in the cottage! When she's not helping to give our guests a memorable experience as the Hospitality Manager, she enjoys watching the black swans and their majestic beauty!
In her role, Curry works closely with guests and says that she "learns something new everyday from the guests." Her Dining Room favorites are the Giant Mutant Alaskan Crab Legs and sampling the fantastic desserts. When Curry isn't at the Lodge, she enjoys taking her son Croix to the beach, giving her friends and family makeovers, and studying art history on location.
