Employee Spotlight: Keith Blok

Keith Blok dove right in to his responsibilities when he joined the team a year and a half ago as the Farm Manager and Head Cheese Maker at Flat Creek! With his new role also came a move down South, and he's been enjoying settling in to a new environment. Prior to joining the Lodge, he specialized in aged cheddar for more than 25 years, winning Best in Show awards at the World Championship Cheese Contest in held in Madison, Wisconsin and pulling in wins 10 years in a row (18 years in total) at the British Empire Cheese Competition. He comes with credentials as a Scientific Cheese Technologist, and he spent many years with Darigold, Inc., one of the major US cheddar commodity producers. His creativity and passion for his craft has taken the dairy to the next level in helping to share our products across the country.

Though he enjoys being surrounded by the splendor Flat Creek, you'll most often find Keith in the dairy working on his latest creation. Say 'hello' to Keith if you see him around the grounds, and he is always willing to engage in one of the 'cheesiest' conversations you'll ever have!
